As part of my President-Elect training, I was reminded about the other networking and service opportunities available to us as a Rotary Member.  Better yet - you can invite non-Rotary Members to join you in service!

This week, I'll be sharing about Rotary Action Groups.  These groups are independent, Rotary-affiliated groups made up of people from around the world who are experts in a particular field, such as economic development, peace, addiction prevention, the environment, or water.

Anyone who wants to share their expertise to make a positive difference can join an action group. Only Rotarians, Rotaractors, and Rotary Peace Fellows can serve in leadership roles.

The Rotary International Board of Directors officially recognized the Rotary Action Group for Girls’ Empowerment (The RAGGE) during their April 2025 meeting.

The RAGGE’s vision is:  "To create, facilitate, and support opportunities to improve the quality of life for girls (up to 18 years old) around the world and foster empowerment, equity, and equality through actions and advocacy that bring about positive change."

I've been wanting to connect with a Rotary Action Group - and this one seems like a great fit for me.  I'm excited to share I signed up and will continue to update you on my experience with this new group.  CLICK HERE if you are interested in joining.

Consider getting involved with the larger scope of Rotary by joining a group like I did!  CLICK HERE to learn more!
