Congrats to our Inbound Rotary Exchange Student Luisa Noleto (from Brazil) for her participation in Souderton Area High School's production of "Les Miserables". In the photo with her is Aline from Switzerland who is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Doylestown. Maybe she will share about the experience when she speaks to our club on May 9!

The Montgomery County 4-H County Communications Contest was held on April 20, 2024, at the 4-H Fairgrounds. Over 15 students ranging from age 5 to 18 participated. ST Past President, Karla Myers represented Souderton-Telford Rotary on the judges panel for the seniors, ages 13-18. There were eight participants and some of the topics included the importance of self-esteem, vacation disaster stories, women in agriculture, service dogs, and the importance of protecting the environment (from the perspective of Dr. Seuss’ book, The Lorax). The speeches were judged in content, delivery, and language. Of course, receiving ribbons was a highlight for the participants!

The Interact Club we sponsor at Souderton Area High School was photographed at the Indian Crest Middle School fun event for families. The Interact members helped with registration, food service, set up and breakdown...and spent some time visiting with the vendors like ST Rotary Member John Heidgerd!

ST Rotary Member Liz Herman volunteering with Telford Happenings for the Earth Day Clean Up at the Indian Valley Public Library Educational Garden.

ST Rotary Vice President Sarah Bergin and ST Member John Heidgerd participated in the Souderton End Gun Violence March. A 1.3-mile walk through downtown Souderton to honor those who have lost their lives to gun murders, and to advocate for stronger and more effective gun laws. ST Rotary Member, Jim Leary assisted with traffic control.
