The Interact Senior Send-Off was recently held at SA High School
I was in attendance wearing two hats - ST Rotary and Care & Share. Attending with me was the manager of the Outlet and the Volunteer Manager at Care & Share (not in photo) and Harleysville Rotary Club's Interact Chair, Sandra Phifer. C&S brought soft pretzels and had a moment to thank the students for the hundreds of hours served at Care & Share over the school year. As a Rotary Member I asked the group, "What can you become involved with next year that is similiar to Interact?" Not one hand went up - so I explained what Rotaract was and the opportunity to get involed next year.
Each Interact Senior who is graduating and met the requirements of the club will walk during commencement with a special cord draped around their necks. Interact is the only club that gives a cord, so it is quite a big deal to wear one. This year's Valedictorian will be an Interact Member, Claire Jalboot.
