Share about your career with Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club Members at the Great Futures Day, May 9, 4:30 - 6PM.
- Members from 1st grade up through middle school will walk around and talk to you about your career.
- You should be prepared to talk about the details of your job/”a day in the life of”, any specific education needed, what made you want to go into the profession, what are the best parts of your job, what are the least favorite parts of your job, etc.
- Consider interactive activities to do with the kids.
- Visuals are also a good idea, as they can grab the member’s attention.
- Some also brought little handouts or other “goodies” for the kids to take with them.
- Anticipate about 80 members to be in attendance throughout the hour and a half.
