Three students from Souderton Area High School recently competed in the S-T, 4-Way Speech Contest.  Niara, Kyle, and Juliana did an excellent job in defending their topics with the practical application of all four points of the Rotary Four-Way test.

Congrats to Niara for her first place win! Niara will move on to compete in Rotary District 7430 regional contest.
L to R  Al Engel, Souderton-Telford Rotary Club Vice President, Niara Savage, Kyle Wetzler, Juliana Ofalt, James Leary, S-T Rotary Club President, and Frank Gallagher, Souderton Area School District Superintendent and Rotarian

The topic for the speech is to be the student’s choice. However, the speech must show clearly the practical application of all four points of the Rotary Four-Way Test.

The 4-Way Test
Of the things we think, say, or do:

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The results were:

1st place – Niara Savage ($250 prize)  2nd place:  Kyle Wetzler ($150)   3rd place:  Juliana Ofalt ($100)

Congrats to all participants!
