Our club, along with the Rotary Club of Harleysville sponsors rising Juniors from Souderton Area High School (SAHS) each year to attend Camp Neidig – a Rotary Leadership Camp held the second weekend in June. Three SAHS students shared at Monday night’s Closing Ceremony about the workshops and activities they participated in.
Pranati was in chorus and shared about individuals coming together to create a group chorus and the leadership skills she learned throughout that experience. Gabe shared about problem solving activities throughout the weekend and how sometimes a leader was predetermined and sometimes a leader emerged. Shivahn shared her experiences with different guest speakers. She learned about the type of leader she is and based on her leadership style learned how she can effectively lead a group by understanding her personal strengths and weaknesses. We are so proud of these students who left their comfort zone to learn more about themselves and grow in their leadership roles!
