On Sunday, September 18, our club served authentic "PA Dutch" food at the second annual Food Crawl, benefiting the Bean Bag Food Program. This fundraiser sent participants to munch and sip their way along Main and Broad Streets in Souderton. We were in the building next to Univest, labeled, “Conference Center”. Psst – here’s a secret – it’s not the conference center…it is a delightful walk back in time with many, many historical treasures!
As participants walked through the front door, eyes wide in wonder, they were greeted by the smell of pork and sauerkraut…and our smiling faces. We introduced many of them to the plans for Rotary Park. We enjoyed hearing their enthusiasm, especially for restroom facilities and the expanded playgrounds! This food crawl supports a non-profit organization that is committed to feeding hungry children in our community. Many of these children and their families will benefit from this park renovation. The folks on this tour thanked our club over and over for our work on this project. We thank our club members and the greater community for their support in helping our club make Rotary Park a reality!
