The school bell rang and we got "to work"!
Thank you to our Rotary Club members, Chris Moyer, Karla Myers, Jessmy Trochez and Ginny Vandenburg for joining me at Souderton Area High School's, "Back to School" Night for guardians of students who attend the high school.
We were stationed in the "high traffic" area between the school nurse and the school store! We used this as an opportunity for attendees to see our connection to the school with the Interact Club, as well as, to promote the upcoming "Party in the Park". Thank you Principal Dr. Sam Varano, and fellow ST Rotary Member, for granting this opportunity! I also spoke to a parent who was a former Rotary Youth Exchange student to Switzerland. I look forward to scheduling him as a speaker in early 2026.
A highlight of the evening was conversing with one of the Interact Advisors, Alison Kircher. Both Alison and Jen Detwiler, our other Interact Advisor, will become honorary members of our club on Thursday, September 25. Please make sure you plan to attend that meeting!
Another great surprise was seeing three ST Rotary Members recognized on the Honor Wall at the high school - and the recent edition of John Young! (I do apologize if I overlooked any other member!!)

Our club has a strong connection not just to the high school, but to the entire school district. Thank you for helping us strengthen that connection through opportunities like these.
