Thank you to the ST Board Members who attended our August 14, 2025 meeting. These are not the minutes, but just a a few highlights to communicate some important information:
District Grant Approved!
- $5,000 grant approved to plant 100 trees in Rotary Park and to create a one acre pollinator garden on Holly's Hill Park. In accepting the funding for this grant, we are committing ourselves to raising $5,000 to match it. The Board would like to offer the opportunity for those who are interested to make a donation to this match. CLICK HERE to do so.
Indian Valley Country Club Meal Pricing 2026
- The club has informed us that starting in 2026, the cost of the meal will increase to $40PP (includes gratuity). The spring ST Rotary Member survey results showed a strong preference for meeting at IVCC. The discussion at our meeting was that we stay-the-course at IVCC through the spring of 2026, but conduct another survey during that time period to get feedback. The Board encouraged leadership that when IVCC is unavailable, we pursue meeting at Bay Pony Inn. We have formally asked IVCC to change up the vegetarian option. Positive comments were given regarding the Happy Hour, on the third Thursday each month at Branch Creek Taphouse, as a less expensive way for members and potential members to get involved with our club..
Membership
- Good conversation around membership. We discussed what is the "perceived value" of membership - as the next generation wants to know "what's in it for them". We encourage all members to attend the September 11 meeting, (location to be determined). District Governor Mary Cook will guide us in a dialogue about membership.

Our club, at the writing of this, has 47 members listed as "active". We have been averaging about 15 persons attending meetings. You attendance and participation matters!
