Indian Valley Boys and Girls Club

The Indian Valley Boys & Girls Club has a mission to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as product, caring, responsible citizens.  STRC has supported the Club since its inception and would like to continue to partner with the Club to support youth in need in our community.

The Club offers 50 different recreational activities each year, including soccer, baseball and flag football leagues, photography and art classes, and character building programs such as Smart Girls and Passport to Manhood.  Their key academic program is Project Learn, an afterschool homework assistance program offered at all facilities.

A summer camp program is held from June through August for organized sports, arts, crafts and theme days through which children can go to the Club each weekday.  While there is no cost to attend the Club during the school year, fees are required for the summer camp program.  Many of the children who typically go to the Club are unable to pay the fees for summer camp and cannot attend.  STRC has been asked whether we would be willing to sponsor any children who cannot afford the fees to attend camp for the summer.  We have also been invited to sponsor a summer party for the children, to strengthen the community.  The cost for a student to attend the camp is $100/week or $800 for the summer.  The summer party would cost $500.
