Dear Rotarians and friends,
Last Thursday, Sarah Bergin and Rick Kowey led us in song as we visited the Indian Valley Boys and Girls Club to sing Christmas carols and give gifts of donated K'NEX to the children.  John Young was the first person to tell me about the role the Souderton Telford Rotary Club played in supporting the construction of the Club, so I was thrilled to get this picture of him carrying in a load of gifts.

It was great to visit with happy children and see how well the program is run. The Club is clearly an incredibly valuable resource in the community. It is just one of many projects our club has led over almost 10 decades of service.

After we finished up at the Boys and Girls Club, we visited the Souderton Mennonite Homes, which is part of Living Branches and ran through a few more songs.  It was yet another beautifully run community organization led by our very own Ed Brubaker.  So many people worry about what they will do as they age and it made me think about how fortunate we are to have such great care options available.

Rotary Past District Governor (2023-24), Diane Donaher, joined us for the caroling and came with us to Broad Street Italian Cuisine and Pizzeria after we were finished singing.  There, Diane presented our club with two banners from the Rotary International Foundation to celebrate 100% member giving and an average donation of at least $100 per member.  Rick Kowey, our current Rotary Foundation Chair, joined me to accept the awards.  Rick is a strong advocate for the Rotary Foundation and led our club to be one of very few in the District who have met these goals.  Thank you for your generosity in support of the many Rotary Foundation projects made possible as a result of your efforts.
