Dear Rotarians and friends,
We had the opportunity to assemble in the park for a picnic put together by Janet Pesini for last Thursday’s meeting (Thank you, Janet!!!).

Dan Yocum and four of the students who went to Camp Neidig this summer shared their experiences with us.  The students were all very thankful for the opportunity to go to the camp and shared stories of how positive and uplifting the experience was.  The safe, supportive environment at the camp encouraged typically introverted students to open up, try new things and connect with other students and leaders.  Dan acknowledged Karla Myers's significant contributions to ensure the program was successful.

We also heard from Leon Moyer, who summarized work completed in the park over the past several years while we had the opportunity to experience the improvements firsthand.  It was a hot day, but there were many people of all ages enjoying what the park had to offer.  There is still more work to be done, but the project is looking great as we look ahead to the centennial celebrations to come in the 2025-2026 Rotary year. We are grateful for the many contributions of time, talent, and financial contributions to make the park renovation a reality.  We are still searching for financial donations - CLICK HERE to learn more.

We will hear from new members throughout the rest of August and from a student who attended STEM YEA, as we plan for fall events.
