At a recent ST Board Meeting, a challenge was put forth by the club leadership that each Board Member help us with ideas for a weekly input speaker. This week, member Jay Glickman connected us with the MONTC SWAT Team!
As the largest SWAT team in our region, members of the team walked us through how one can be selected to serve. In addition, we learned about the various positions on the team such as the negotiator, the tactical team lead, the sniper...just to name a few...and soon to be introduced a social worker!
We then heard about different situations the SWAT team has has assisted and the outcomes. We wrapped up the evening with a lengthy Q&A and then we got to "try out" and "try on" some of equipment. A big THANKS for spending the evening with us!
